Believe it or not, no matter what you have or haven't done, no matter what you
look like or where you've been, God loves you! God not only loves you, He
eagerly desires an intimate relationship with you. We are His creation. God created people in His own image
for the purpose of having a relationship with them, and yes, believe it or not,
you are one of those people!
When most people think of having a "relationship" with God, they think about rules and regulations, going to church, and many other "religious" things. God doesn't desire "religion". What he does want is a relationship with you. Yes, there are things that God wants us to do, there are things that he knows are harmful to us and to others that he'd rather we didn't do, and yes, he wants us to be in fellowship with other Christians through a local church. However, God wants a relationship with you first and foremost. Not a surface level, phony, or "for show only" relationship, but a deep, intimate, loving relationship.
