RUN TO WIN

VERSE 1: I know you've got a dream, a dream that God has put deep inside of you
It puts the wind in your sail, fires you up, it's what you really want to do
You've been trying to get this thing off the ground for so long now
It's not like you want to quit, but knowing how to do this, eludes you somehow

There are so many distractions along the way
And it's awfully hard to deal with what the nay-sayers say
It's not like it's easy to believe in yourself
But it's way too easy to put your dream on a shelf

CHORUS: If your gonna run the race, you've gotta run to win
It's time to pull out all the stops and really dig in
The sacrifice and the energy spent, it's all gonna pay off in the end
The only way to lose is to quit, and that aint happinin'
If your gonna run the race, you've gotta run to win

VERSE 2: Whether against time or space, in a race there's really only room for one to win
Though hundreds may enter, put forth some effort, only one prize is going to be givn'
So if it's worth doing, if any value at all, it's worth doing right
It's worth the sweat and the tears and the midnight oil you burn into the night

But sometimes the dessert sand, it gets so hot
And you begin to question who you are and who you're not
The narrow road can challenge even the best
And you're not really sure if you can even do it yet

BRIDGE: You know you don't have to make it all happen on your own
God gave you this dream and He will see you through
So pray like it all depends on Him
And work like it depends on you
