MEET THE REAGERS

Rick (age 43) and Christina (age 38) Reager have been happily married for 19 years. They have two children; Brendon, who is 14 and Hannah, who is 11. Christina has lived in the Columbus area all her life, growing up in Baltimore, a little town a few miles south-east of Pickerington. Rick, originally from Bucyrus, Ohio, moved into the area in 1986, when he enrolled at the DeVry Institute of Technology shortly after serving a three year tour of duty in the Army (Wurzburg, West Germany). Rick and Christina have both been Christians since they were children, and have served in churches most of their lives. Prior to Cross Pointe, they served as a family in a Pickerington church where Rick was the Associate Pastor.


More About Pastor Rick:

Saved at the age of 11, Rick felt the call from God to be a Pastor at the age of 13. Not sure where his call was to be a full-time church staff pastor or a lay-pastor, he has spent his life praying, moving forward, ministering in various capacities and seeking God’s will. Rick has a BS in Electronics Engineering and has worked for company’s such as General Dynamics, where he developed test software for military hardware, and Lucent Technology, where he designed and developed web sites. He has started a couple of businesses from scratch, the most recent, being MRM Funding Group, a secondary mortgage company. In the area of ministry, Rick has started Bible studies, was a key player in starting Friday night fellowships in the Army (Germany), served for about a year as a youth director in Bucyrus, Ohio, and spent five years serving in a new church start, from grand opening day through their fifth anniversary.  As an Associate Pastor, Rick spent time in practically every major area of church leadership, with responsibilities ranging from teaching and discipling others to leading worship and office administration.

After wrestling with God for about a year and a half, Rick finally came to the conclusion that God was calling him to plant a new church in central Ohio, a church that was different, a church with a fresh vision, a church that would truly make a difference... a church like Cross Pointe. Currently, Rick teaches on Sunday mornings, plays lead guitar and sings as a member of the worship team, and is building a purpose-driven leadership team that will be able lead the church and keep it healthy and balanced. 

More About Christina:

Saved at the age of 13, Christina grew up in a Christian home. She has ministered in several different areas, including singing on the worship team, caring for babies in the nursery, leading the preschool ministry, teaching preschool children, purchasing supplies for various ministries, organizing and leading a tape ministry, and running sound and multimedia equipment as a member of the sound team. Having a love for children, Christina has worked in the childcare and child development area since her graduation from school. She is skilled at organizing and leading preschool programs, and has trained many preschool ministers and ministry leaders. She has spent the last five years working alongside Rick, helping the church to grow from the few that were present grand opening day, to an average attendance of around 500. 

Christina currently serves on Cross Pointe's worship team as a vocalist and percussionist.
