OUR VISION

“Where there is no vision, the people perish”
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

COMMUNITY:  for Cross Pointe Community Church is to build a community of fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ. A community of followers who are growing in all areas of their life– who’s lives are being effected by God through a balanced approach to church (that is, the five purposes are being balanced: worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and service). A community of people who care for and love each other unconditionally, who put the needs and desires of others before their own needs and desires, and who protect and promote unity and harmony in the body. A community of people who love God, and seek a deeper relationship with Him on a daily basis. A community of genuine people who are who they say they are, who are honest, and who are transparent. People who are real!

LIFE CHANGE: Our vision is to grow the community, by growing the church, by growing the people, by growing ourselves through a closer relationship with God, and by connecting others with God and showing them how to draw closer to Him. We desire to grow a church that understands the church is not brick, mortar, wood, or glass, but rather is the people… the body of Christ. We desire to grow a church that focuses on the people and minimizes politics, focuses on ministry and minimizes meetings, and focuses on God and minimizes distractions.

GROWING IS A MUST:
Our vision is to grow a church that is community focused. We desire to build a church that will have a good reputation in the community as a service oriented and caring group of people. We desire to share Christ with thousands of residents of Canal Winchester, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, Groveport, Carol, Baltimore, Lithopolis, and southeastern Columbus. Our dream is to build a church that is not content to focus all of our attention inwardly, when there are people in our area who do not know Jesus Christ; however, we want our focus to remain on church health rather than church growth. We desire to remain a church that believes so much in growth and reaching others, that it will, early in the life of the church, begin to start new churches in the Columbus area to reach those who are not being reached.

IS ALL ABOUT GOD:
Our vision is to build a church that puts God first in all endeavors. We dream of a body of believers who seek first the kingdom of God. We look forward to a church that desires to connect with God, and makes regular prayer and worship a part of their personal and corporate lifestyle. We desire a network of small groups, ranging from Bible study groups to accountability groups, that will bring people closer to each other as well as closer to God.

SHARING GOD'S LOVE: Our vision is to grow a community of believers who are trained, equipped, and empowered for ministry– the ministry that God has chosen for them. We desire to help each and every member of the church find the ministry that will bring new purpose to their lives and give them the fulfillment that God desires for them. We desire a church where ministry leaders make ministry decisions, not the church staff, and where God determines the ministries, by determining the ministry gifts of the people of Cross Pointe. A church where a person’s gift makes room for them.

KEEPING IT REAL:

Our vision is to grow a church that is relevant to the community. From the user-friendly and practical messages, to eventually, the architecture of our facilities, we desire to be a place that seekers feel comfortable visiting. We desire to create a place where hurting people, who are lost and without hope, can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement… a place where people feel loved, accepted, and needed. We desire to create an environment where people can investigate a relationship with God and the church at there own pace and feel loved along the way!

“… dear brothers and sisters, I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1
